Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations (SLE), a repeat client of ours, hired us for this swanky NYE event and provided all of the outstanding entertainment. Partygoers celebrated the New Year by rocking out to live musical performances by national recording artist Kelley James and were also dazzled by a firework display at midnight.

Guests were surrounded by everything "circus" and Creative Occasions provided larger-than-life decorations and displays at the party, including a giant Cracker Jack box, a popcorn box, and two 8-foot tall giant clown heads! Creative Occasions was thrilled when a repeat client asked us to decorate for a Sadie Hawkins dance that took place this past weekend. We were equally excited to learn the dance would be a Western theme!

Most times our props need to look elegant, classy, pristine, and in perfect condition. But this time, we got to break out our spurs and dirty it up to make the props look old and weathered, keeping in line with the Old West of course! We provided the welcome entrance and vignettes near the stage, setting a perfect Western scene for the cowboys and gals.

After line dancing and two-stepping all night long in their boots and 10 gallon hats, everyone rounded up their horses and carriages and set off in the sunset. Okay, so actually the sun had long since set, but you get the idea!

That's right! January 23, 2012 starts the year of the Dragon.

Creative Occasions recently decorated for a Chinese New Year event, and we thought it'd be fun to share some Chinese New Year facts with you!

The Chinese calendar consists of both the Gregorian and lunar-solar calendar systems.
Chinese New Year can start anytime between late January and mid-February, due to the tracking of the new moon.
The Chinese New Year Festival in China is 15 days long, leading up to the New Year Lantern Festival.
2011 was the year of the Rabbit, while 2013 will be the year of the Snake.

Creative Occasions was quite busy for the New Year's celebrations, but we were ready! With our assortment of newly added "bling" items to our inventory, we helped party-goers ring in the New Year in style!

One event we decorated had a Denim and Diamonds theme, with nearly 1,000 people in attendance! Everything we decorated had a glittery effect, from the jewel-encrusted centerpieces and chair tie wraps to the pixie dust overlays and the free standing chandeliers.

And while we were setting up for this spectacular event, country singer John Michael Montgomery waltzed into the room to do a meet and greet with some lucky VIPs who would be attending his concert later that night. What do you know, the Creative Occasions staff just happened to be in the right place at the right time! What a great evening and fun event!
